What a cute finch. The detail is so wonderful. I could nearly count each individual feather but I must avoid the distraction of doing so. Good thing the back ground was blurred out it sure did help bring out the adorable characteristics of the finch.

I certainly like the close view. Almost a macro photo of this finch who is watching you closely. Probably the most common bird I have in our yard and I love the red coloring of the males. They get that red from their diet not from the fact their feathers are naturally red. Carotines in the food they eat turn their feathers red. Very sharp photo and I like the fine feather detail and his beautiful eye in this close up view. Excellent shot and thanks for sharing this little red head with us.

Great close up of this house finch. This is one of my favorite shots to capture, close ups of a birds face. Really helps you and the viewer to appreciate how beautiful these birds are, and catching a reflection in the eye makes for an even better photo. Nicely framed with wonderful focus and clarity.
