Gorgeous image of this beautiful finch, you have captured some very fine detail in the feathers and eye! Wonderful background which helps this little fellow really pop, excellent color and lighting, super job.

Although I like birds, I am not that knowledgeable on varieties. When I saw this initially and before I read your title, I thought this was a Red Cardinal. Look very similar to me but obviously there must be differences. Very good shot with the profile of the bird filling the frame showing lots of detail in the eye and feathers. Nicely blurred background too which enhances the overall image.

Thank you so very much! This is a small bird, the Cardinal is twice the size and different color.

very nice close up of this finch you must have been virtually inches away from it or a good lens, the detail in him is so sharp, that eye of his looks like he is staring at me through the laptop quite eerie, so shiny and bright you have captured his colours so well, good d.o.p which has enhanced this frame brillantly, well done good macro wrok

Great detail, the detail around the eye and on the beak are precise. The clearness of the eye alone makes a wonderful take.
