What a stunning animal! That eye contact is superb, you have nice sharp focus on the tigers head giving a lot of detail like the eye contact, the fur around her face, her wiskers, I would have cropped it right down to make it a prorait of her. You do not have all her body in the picture and have motion blur on her hind quarter. You have great colours and a nice depth. Try it for yourself and you will see the difference. Very nicely done all the same.

The tigers at Adelaide Zoo are very striking and you've captured that here. I love her expression and the feeling of the 'prowl'. Good DOF. I feel the focus on her face could be a tiny bit sharper but her markings are gorgeous. Taylor

I love the big cats Mary and she sure is beautiful! I think what really stands out here is the expression and her striking eyes, I like the way she fills the frame and the detail around her face and those whiskers! The exposure is perfect and the color again very striking, perhaps the focus is a little soft towards the bottom right of the image but doesn't distract as you're drawn to the eyes which is the central spot anyway, can I ask what equipment you use? well done Mary

Thanks so much Deb, I use a Nikon 3100 and for this was using the 55-300 lens. Still so much to learn but enjoy the challenge. Cheers

Mary, what a great catch on this beautiful cat. Love shadows when you have the face being highlighted, focused and framed for a super shot. Good work and a pleasure to review.

The face is fierce looking. Tigers are marked so beautifully. Their eyes seem to bore into you. I am glad you were persistent and got this picture.

nice capture-the face is very bright and clear and defined so well ,the rest of the photo may not be as bright as I would like it-or as clear but the impact of the head makes it work.

Wow, this is very beautiful. The face shows such dignity and the fur glows in the gold. The marking is so dominant. Very good lighting! Thank you for sharing.
