Who has such a hard heart that they are not moved by his story and your shot? The golden color feels like a fairy tale, and thr light is lovely and almost surreal as a backdrop for this beautiful fellow..I hope he does well! Bring him some dried corn if he is looking thin! Donkeyoatey

Lovely golden shot of swan boy. I so hope I get to meet him. I love the coloring of the setting sun. I personally would have cropped down a bit but still great shot.

He is so beautiful Cassandra. Really looking forward to the time we get to spend with you. Thanks so much for the rating. I wanted to keep all the water as it was like little diamonds across the shot. Thanks!

Rather unusual crop/format for this subject but it is unique, creative and more importantly, it works. The colors are also a bit unusual but same comments as above apply.

With the above said, it stands out from the madding crowd. Will not say that it is an outstanding image but it is technically competent, shows a creative talent that is willing to be creative.

Good overall sharpness and the Earth colors work.

A very romantic scene due to the beautiful golden water due to the amazing sunset colors . Even the swan has a golden reflection - loving nature you got the beauty of this scene and that is the reason you let lots of water in your frame showing us the contemplation and beauty of the moment even for a single swan enjoying this perfect time to just glide without making ripples in the waters - a wonderful harmonious and peaceful image- perfect focus - perfect lighting- perfect contrast - we don

Harmony and beauty to the beholder is exactly what I was trying to achieve here. But also the golden years of this swan as he is getting older and we all want to sail off into that beautiful sunset. Thanks so much.

Wow stunning capture with great natural light. Beautiful shot and composition. Great color and clarity. We must be in sync with each other or something. The day you posted your squirrel photo I was at my nephews and shot almost the same exact shot. THEN! Today! I stopped at the woman's house where the swan lives from "Swan's Shade". I printed her an 11 x 14 and gave it to her and asked if it was alright to stop every once in awhile to shoot her swan. I took some pics of him earlier this evening. Co-wink-key-dink??? I don't know! :) She loved the photo. It made me really happy.

Oh, he is so handsome, I hope he isn't sick or so heart broken he won't survive. They really do rely on their mates and love them very much. This is a wonderful portrait of him Eileen and you have done him justice:)

Thanks Wendy. I think he will be ok. Just feel bad for his loss.
