What a beautiful duck! I love the detail and it's bright yellow eye. Fantastic composition with room for him to move into and lovely ripples. Great shot!

Thanks!

My first impression on viewing was an attitude of I do not give a damn, and it is that eye.
Well positioned in the frame, like how it is done in dark tones, the water is great.
All is well and harmonious.

What lovely water movement, and I was wondering..do you think "pet" ducks also get the feel like zoo animals of hopelessness, perhaps that would account for the lack of spark in the eyes? ( I over think EVERYTHING!!) Detail on the feathers is really nice and textured, and having him enter the frame like that makes for a way nice composition! Donkeyoatey

Good question donkey. Most of these birds come here of their own accord. Free to come and go as they please. They like the free food. :). Not sure this is one of them since I did not see it fly. Thanks for your very pleasurable review!

Another great shot. We looked in our bird book and believe he is either a Canvasback Duck or Red Head both of them are diving ducks. Anyway, the focus is razor sharp, the colors of his feathers are warm and rich with a nice water reflection.

How very much this looks like a real decoy. I mean even down to the wide open eyes. Color is beautiful and I like the green reflective water. He does not appear to be moving very fast according to the ripples.
Good job and thanks for sharing
