Your work is lovely Suzanne, there is a softness about this one that makes me feel at peace when I look at it. The different elements are well constructed and the blue of the sky has such a calming yet at the same time happy aura . I was actually at the beach in Byron Bay today and drove up to the lighthouse which is high on a cliff so this painting caught my attention . A very appealing piece beautifully painted.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It's only a small painting so didn't take too long, only a few hours. Suzanne

Lovely painting. I like your driftwood alot. Good shading and highlighting. The lighthouse is good though I think it could be darker. You have nice details in the rest of the image. Pretty scene and peaceful looking too. Great job.

Very nice work. The lighthouse against the sky could almost be photo material. I assume the log in the foreground is a piece of driftwood!

Many thanks for your very nice review. The wood is actually a groyne or breakwater - we have many of these along our coast, most of which are very old like this one, hopefully to protect the land from the eroding sea! Suzanne

Rustic classic seascape. The perspective of being on the shoreline and looking up at the lighthouse is interesting. The piece seems a light dark to me but I may have left my sunglasses on. After all the sun is out. Thanks for sharing.

Again, I'm impressed with your talent.

Love the perspective of the driftwood and lighthouse. Great parallels.

The blue sky with it's wisp of clouds was perfect.

Thanks for sharing.

lovely light house and drift wood is always pretty and interesting in shots. the light house on the hill is a beacon as a guide of life or disrespect the warning and guide to your death. strong emotional work.

Hi Suzanne, I thought the New Zealander but read your notes and found you are back home again. Very nice painting with good depth from the wood to the lighthouse. Your light house is a bit on a lean but we can live with that. I like the way you have done the bank with a waterhole which ties in the sky to the blue of the water. A lovely feeling you have created in this as I feel as I step into the painting and walk to the lighthouse. well done.

Many thanks for your very nice review. I think the lean of the lighthouse may be due to the way I took the photo! I'm not very good with the camera. Suzanne
