I hate bug shots, I hate them, did you ever see Jairos stuff, its good but I have to puke after I review it, I hate bugs. Of course I like this one, spiders are our friends, they eat a lot of flys and what not. You certainly have a patent on your background, slowly it is becoming your signature.

Why is this not in the web contest? It is super..great color, great angle, and beautifully shot..I still seem to have no sixes, so I shall have to give a raincheck..this is far and above better than any of the entrys I have seen so far..got more? Donkeyoatey

Wish I knew about the contest but too late. Thanks so much!

Nice capture and find as this is colorfully different from other spiders I've seen.
The illumination at the back and the narrow green DOF complements this arachnid very well.
Clear focusing.
Nice inverted subject placement.
Thanks for sharing but why not joined this in the contest?!?

Good shot Eileen. You have captured a beautiful thing in nature. They give me the creeps but they are amazing with their ability to manufacture these webs. Great color and tremendous detail, especially in the well lighted web.

these are actually docile and do not pack a powerful bite if they do bite. But they get very large :) Thanks for the review.

Eileen, now why didn't you enter this into the WEBS contest?
The main focal point being the spider is not only sharp and in focus but the secondary supporting focal point of the web just makes this a really harmonic piece of work. Furthermore, the fact you have kept the background in good solid bokeh keeping all natural makes this an excellent nature shot, a winner, in my eyes.
I like the composition and feel because of the inclusion of those diagonal lines in the background which give dynamism and pops of yellow add to excitement the image is strong.
A beautiful upload Eileen.
PS I'm in love with Topaz software. It has worked well for you.

wow, thanks so much Olga. I actually just took this one Saturday, so too late for the webs contest. I do so appreciate your review. Really made me feel like a winner without entering :)
