was this taken in yellowstone national park, im supposeto be going there in october seeing this frame makes me want to go even more beautiful frame with the pool in the background rising vapour and fine orange sand which shows texture, good filled frame , pleasure to view, thanks for sharing

Thanks so much! Yes, it is Yellowstone National Park. We were there in July. A photographers dream! You'll love it!

did you see any wolves was it cold?

It was warm, but it'll be cooler in Oct. The wolves are way back, so unless you have a high powered scope (which I don't) they are only a speck.

This is very cool to look at. I like the contrast of the warm rust earthy color with the very cool blue color of the pool and sky. Nice fat white clouds and dark mountainous area adds interest to the photo as well. Very nice.

This is interesting the way the ground and colors look in this. I like the way you see the steam coming up from the water and ground. I think this would have been better if you had cropped a little off of the top so that the frame was not divided in half by the two sections. That would have raised your colored section up a little more and made it the most important part of the picture.

Thanks for you comments and suggestions. It is pretty much divided in thirds, with sky and hills being the top third. That's how I view it anyways.

Wow, pretty spectacular. Love the blue sky and clouds, and the lighting, DOF, and color is great. I love the colors it gets from thermo activity and you captured it well.

MAy make for a great photo but from what I hear the smell leaves something to be desired. Nice composition, nice coloring and an extra 1/2 star for tolerating it! PS love the sky
