I love this painting. I like abstract paintings when you can sort of see things in them, like the sky and clouds in this one. The colors are wonderful also

Thanku 4 your comments. The composition was actually based on domesic Voilence. The colours came from the bruses. I didn't even know that this piece was still on this site.

very impressive, clouds are not easy to paint, I have tried and tried till I'm blue in the face, but you have almost mastered it...the blending of the blues and reds to make purple especially, keep it up, good work...Trev

Thankyou for your comments, it is hard to get some people on this sight to understand art. Somehow i do better at my exhibitions. So where did i miss out on the 5th star?

Well, though you relate to your work as to abstract one, I doubt that it belongs to this category.

When I look at it, it looks like clouds to me, and abstract art is not supposed to evoke images, it must be ungraspable.

Thank you.

What makes it abstract is the fact that it isn't done realistic. It is done in a form of abstract. Thanku for veiwing anyway.

I do not agree. Not realistic does not yet mean abstract. Abstract-absence of graspable image.

The meaning of abstract, work in which the artist delects, simplifies, disgards, distorts, rearranges things as seen in nature or from the figure. To abstract 'means' to take away' the artist is free to take away and add. Ifn u want to get real tect. i can give u some egs.

Very emotional piece, the colors that you used in this really portray clouds late in the evening after the sun has set, but there is still a bit of light to light up the clouds. I like the color choices you used in the clouds.

Yes, I can see the clouds and your concept, but also can see something else, and wonder whether this could be an allegory, as I can see a medical condition with the appropriate tests involved. Looks like it to me. What do you think? Best wishes.

Mmmm...giving your response i take it you can understand this piece a little better than "shattered"? When it comes to art, people see what they want to see, whether its good or bad, i guess thats what draws the veiwer in and any sort of feedback is good, as it shows that theres something intriguing about the composition. Thanks for taking the out to veiw my work.

sharra69, I am very impressed by this painting. It is very strong and evokes a great deal of mixed emotion for me. The mixture of colours is most intriguing and beguiling. There is a wonderful depth to the work, of which you should be extremely proud. I am grateful you shared it with us. There appears for me to be a great deal of movement in your clouds, softly shifting, close to heaven. I know nothing about how to paint, but I certainly admire and respect this work, which I like a whole lot. Congratulations! This is a piece I would love to hang here in my living room cum office cum den. Thanks, again.
Peace,
Papa

I really aspire to this piece. I feel the mood you were in when this piece was created.
It displays two totally different worlds for me, in one sense the positioning of the light and the colors used invoke images of the days end the final goodbye of a colored sunset this is my warm place in the picture.
In contrast to that I can also feel the rage or a storm the purples and pinks and deep blues coming into the picture which could make one question is this what feelings would look like if they were paintings.
I love it, it would be really textured upon original viewing but the recreation here depicts it just as well.
In my opinion I maybe would have added a little more to the right hand centre edge of the picture as I find it a little bit of a focal point which takes away from the central light focal point. But apart form that it is great.

Thanks for your reveiw and sharing with me how this composition drew you in. Sometimes i feel as though i'm in two different worlds. I suppose i'm in one sense, the art world where i could easier become isolated from others and then theres the real world, back to reality.

This is a nice combination of colors and lighting. The context portrays a darkness while hinting of 'light at the end of the tunnel'. As an oil painting, there is likely to be added texture on the original that is not visible on the website picture which should make it even more outstanding. Well done.
