Sorry, but the first thing that came to my mind while looking at this work:

"Too many notes".

I mean, drawing too much lines does not necessarily contributes, and this is not what makes the work abstract.

Hope no offense taken :)

I like the bold dark lines of this piece. It is visually stimulating, as the light and shadows of the piece play with your eyes tricking you into seeing one person, then two. Nicely done abstract piece.

I know this is a popular form, but much as I look at it, I can't really see anything but confusion, or stress, so obviously don't understand at all. Best wishes.

I'm not keen on this because I can't actually see anything clearly in it, but that doesn't mean that it's a crap piece of work. I think you are very good at defining things with shading and there's a certain feeling, perhaps of angst or frustration in this piece. Feeling is good in a picture.

I really like your use of line and shading which shows much potential. This seemed more of a non-objective drawing than a figure. When forced I did see a woman sitting in a lawn chair. I did like the balance of texture and value.

Thanks. I can see what you mean. It is a part of a series of 21 drawings which are meant to evoke a sense of feeling and movement rather than depict an actual figure. The series has been designed to surround the viewer and encompass them in movement. Well that's what I hope anyway.

There's some intensity behind those charcoal strokes that breathes life into this piece. The shading and contrast of light and dark hint of possible figures that constitute a scene to be reflected upon. I'd love to see some of your non-abstract artistry. In this piece you obviously have a knack for contouring and adding depth and dimension to your subjects and scene. I see a man standing above another on their hands and knees by a rock, the subject's head bowed.

This is an interesting creation and style.
