The image could be better. It needs work. I had started on it same time ago, but than had to finish in a hurry. There is even a smudge on the left eye.
Isn't that a interesting story. There are more to come. There were more than a few female pirates, and a lot of romantic stories. I read a lot about piracy in order to come up with something unusual.

Dragons, sinking ships, parrot on shoulder, and cutlass..everthing that has become a pirate icon is here! I like the "smudgy" look, to me, it adds an almost dreamlike feel..best of luck in the contest..and how ARE you? Donkeyoatey

really lovely piece and i look forward to reading the notes at a later stage. you have captured all the elements of piracy here, the ship, iconic parrot and eye patch. it seems we were thinking along the same lines with a fantasy pirate. in fact i was reading there were quite a few female ones to. the dragon gives it a wonderful location aspect.

This is a quite unique combination, green dragon and red pallet why not? I like an alternative.
The image is well composed for an entertaining the story.

Great initial impact. Very creative work. Great illumination, fine details and very nice textures. I like the facial expression and the color, nice composition and presentation, like the image of dragon. Good job.
