You should have saved him for a macro contest..so darn detailed and sharp he looks like he will fall onto my desk! I like the fgreen leaf, that too has super nice detail and realistic colors. Donkeyoatey

Hi my Friend, I'm sorry I'm SO late with my thank you! A six star rating from YOU is a treasured feather in my artistic cap and oneI don't take lightly! I am extremely honored that you would bless my work with a six! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! LOve the thought you had of this caterpillar falling on your desk! LOL :o) Helvi

This little guy has cuter long hair than seen during the 70s fad. Nice lighting to highlight them from background. Good detail, looks like evidence of his appetite at work in upper left. If he's cute now, how much more after transformation! Good shot of this hungry fellow.

Hairy and spiky. He is handsome. He probably becomes as beautiful Butterfly. I like how you have his munchies, the eaten up piece of leaf included. I like your natural coloring very much.

Well gosh Helvi,
This guy stole my hair style!
And it looks like he just had it done!
The shot is great and I like how crystal clear it is. I also like how he is on the diagonal in the shot.
Good one, my friend~
Angelheart :)

What detail in this, perfect focus and light. Even where the caterpillar previous feed line shows all the fibres of the leaf. It would have been nice to see all the caterpillar but knowing some these they can be a bit long to frame in this detail.

High initial impact. Should have been an entry for the contest MACRO! Superb focus. Very sharp image, showing prominence of tiny details, its obvious. That vivid hairs are very eye catching. Nice natural colors, even with the greens. Thanks for sharing this beautiful sight of nature. Awesome Shot!

Seen a few such caterpillars in my own garden. Obviously the long hairs are self defense against being eaten. I do know that some of these caterpillars are dangerous to man too. The hairs irritate the skin and can cause bad reactions. Must say I would not be tempted to pick them up! Very good shot with the caterpillar filling the whole frame. Detail is sharp and clear. Lighting is very good too, as are colours which are very natural. Wonder what type of butterfly/moth this turns into.

    Hi Susan,
I knopw with Gyspy moth caterpillars if those hairy spikes get into your skin it gets itchy there. Wish I could tell you waht kind of butterfly or moth this fellow turns into but I don't know. Thank you SO much for the lovely review! :o) Helvi
