Wow, this is intense. It is good theme for the Halloween, but I have noticed that this is not entry.
I am not quite sure the green in the eyes are actually seeing the background color through the hole or it belongs to the skull.
The image is illustrative for the suspense.

I havent been here for awhile, and forgot to look for a contest entry. As for the eyes and the background, it is a full skull, with green lights inside, it was just a coincidence that that the inside of the skull matched the background, which is a green swamp in a forest. My only adjustment was slightly fading the chroma levels...created this strange eerie effect! Thank you for your excellent review and taking the time!

I suppose the skull is placed in this swamp just for Halloween ? I bet it looks a lot more scary in the night though when the light coming from inside is more evident. You have nicely softened background on this photo for the skull to stand out in the most excellent way.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the skull, and I also think the exposure is perfect.
The cropping is really neatly done and the skull is nicely placed within the frame. This of course makes for a well composed image. This is also a really well taken photo, and with an excellent DOFF.

What a great image. I particularly like the way the skull appears to be floating eerily and the ghostly glow that is emitted through the eyes and gap in the teeth. The faint edge around the skull also adds to the ghostly effect. Great Halloween capture.

Thank you for this review...and taking the time to really look at it... I noticed the faint edge around it, as I was looking for any signs of it looking like a layer...which it is NOT...I actually lugged this thing into the forest, its about a foot in diameter with color lights inside it ....and I noticed the edge, wondering what it is......there wasn't any post done except fading the chroma out slightly...made me wonder....OOOuuiiieeee...eerie!!!!!
