Just goes to show what damage can be done so easily. Especially in these hot woody areas you think they would be more careful. This photofraph leads the eye from the purple bush through the grey water to the black island in the middle to the fire in the back. Doesnt nature have a way of making these colours blend perfectly where as if we tried to wear them would look silly. Like this very much

What a great photo and yup they sure were stupid most of the countryside in France is beautiful definitely and idiot the color is great the detail is great excellent depth and perspective as well as lighting fine work here

Wow. This is dramatic. I like the composition of the image. The vista across the expanse of water and the cloud of smoke rising above gives the viewer a very good idea of the size of the fire. Great shot.

The smoke and fire are as nice (photographically) as I have seen. The bald sky in the upper right is not an issue for me. The foreground, with its catamaran and silhouetted trees does anchor the shot and give it a location which would be journalistically important, but graphically I don't think they carry their weight.

but terrible
fire is so unpredictable.
if you want to start a fire.
seems it cant be started without an accelerate.
but given some high wind it will take off.

A very unfortunate event indeed. It's amazing how many of our wrong decisions really do effect other people in a negative way. However, even something good can come out of a negative situation such as this, like this image that you captured. Great color of the flames and the smoke is rich and thick. Placed well in the frame, Good clarity. Blessings in the contest:o)

Terrific capture of the billowing smoke from this terrible event. The sun shining on it and showing the color and texture makes a beautiful picture with the mountains in the background, but then you think of the devastation and everything gets brought back to reality.
