I guess a lot of work went into this but ( to me at least) its turned into a band of colors. If there was just one band perhaps I could justify calling it a rainbow. Sorry!

I turned this in purpose into a band of colors. It was not in my attention to resemble the shape of an rainbow. Why I should do that. The contest does not ask for realistic interpretations. Abstract interpretations are not against the rule.
You are right. It was a lot of work and time what went into the picture on top of taking the photos.

An extremely nice piece of editing with all the colors I have seen reflecting from light shining from a CD.
The distortion is clearly a very exciting piece of color.

Great take. Not a pedestrian rainbow shot, actually looks like a cosmic display of the northern lights or some chakra aura on major drugs which is way cool. Love your view here and wishing you well in the contest. Awesome

For me, this is a lot like "seeing" music..I know it is a rainbow, but it looks like Jazz! Pretty colors with a nice vibrancy, and the entire piece has a lovely feel of movement. Donkeyoatey

I hear the music too. That damaged CD used as light catcher is a record of Music by Handel. It contains the Fireworks- and the Water Music. Funny, isn't it?
