It certainly does look very pretty. Very lovely tones in the sky sets off the gold in the stature. Your off center presentation is interesting though I think I would center it since the bush on the right is a bit mono-chrome. Sort of anachronistic. I like it.

Thanks so much once again for your positive feedback. I put this one up straight out of camera (well changed raw to jpg) but have thought afterwards maybe should have cropped to centre more. :) Mary

Impressive work on the lighting of this image. The exposure on the main subject is perfect and full of great detail and effective shadow effects.
What really stands out is combining that with a very well exposed sky and trees in the background.

You should be very proud of this image!

Technically a good shot. The subject becomes the initial centre of interest. Good lighting producing highlights on the statue. The spot of colour of the flowers draws the eye toward the statue. The water bottle and soft drink can is an unusual add on in this image. The woodland setting gives this image a somewhat mysterious feeling.

Thanks so much, yes I agree with your comments compared to those we have seen in Japan the modern does lack something.

Beautiful lighting in this shot, bringing nice contrast to the high lights and shadows in both the statue and the sky. Nice sharp focus on the Buddha against a nice soft background of trees. Good composition. Although the statue is centered, it works here. Nice job.

I like the shot. The golden figure contrasts the blues and greens nicely as does the flower offering. Did you intend for it to be off center? I'm not a photographer so I don't always get such things. Thanks for sharing. Silver
