Your image of the lion commands a presence and brings the viewers eye right to him. Great color choices and usage of pastel texturing works well. Love the wisps of mane that seem to be blown by the wind.

Very handsome lion. I love how you did this with pastels. So soft looking, greatly rendered. He looks so relaxed and content. Nice background color. Lovely mane. GReat drawing!

Beautiful pastel work. Great job on the lions mane and facial details. I like the blue and purple blended sky against the green of the grass. Well done. Jan

Beautiful colours, great angle, an excellent piece of work, especially with pastels which can be messy in the wrong hands, fortunately you have the right ones!
Well done!

WOW!!! the detail in this is amazing. I have to admit I also love painting the big cats and have done a few lions but I'm a digital artist and to me traditional artist with this talent are a rare breed. You have that mane so soft looking it makes me almost want to touch it. stunning and extremely talented

You have captured the essence of the King of the Beasts. The facial features are great and he is watching intently over something. I might be the next meal that he is dreaming about. He is willing his mate to go kill something. The pastels lend themselves nicely to this subject. The depth you have captured in his mane and face is great. The faded out features force us to see the detail in his head and face. Great job.

What a handsome lion.
His mane is beautiful.
Great detail in it.
Pretty eyes.
Like the range of colors you have infused into the grass and the lion to give definition to individual blades and hairs.
