Lovely capture of the beautiful tiger basking in the late afternoon sun. I like the angle you used for this and from an artistic point of view I like the foreground grasses!

Lighting and focus very good showing excellent clarity. Very nice composition. Suzanne

impact 4.5 color 5 lighting 5 technical 5 nice sharp image of the cat with great lighting and depth of field. Lighting perfect but that stupid grass down the center. I know this canaa be fixed because my son can fix it on his Mac program its like taking area of color and blends it in I dont even have picasso or photoshop so not the one to ask but you can fix this. It desreves six without the dang grass. I am pretending I don't see the one pesky green leaf.

Thanks Trixie, had mixed reaction to grass most have said leave it as it creates natural look. I have Picasa but wouldn't be good enough for this. Cheers Mary

Mary,
He is a very Handsome beast as he lies there relaxing while keeping an eye on all passers by. The play of light & shade in the picture really add that extra something that turns it into a special shot. I prefer picture as this one without cloning, the grass does not detract from the picture in my eyes. Beautiful composition & lighting with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Aw, this is beautiful.
The tiger has posed himself
in a most regal position.
His fur shows up perfectly.

I like the green background.
I normally don't care for
photos that are part sunny and part shady, but this
one seem to work well.

Good clarity and good color.

So glad you shared.

Every time I go to a zoo I have that experience. They are always sleeping! We always arrive at mid morning and leave late in the afternoon and that's their sleep time. You got luck with this big tiger laying on the rocks and posing for you. A good shot and I don't mind the grass in front. Makes the scene look more natural. Perseverance pays off as it did here. Good photo.

I like the grass in front. It gives it a natural appearance. The colors are very good. It would have been better without the shadows across his face. But not much you could do about that. DOF good. Framed well.

Yes, Zilyram I've had those days only in a HUGE zoo where it was hard to go back and look;) I'm glad you got to see the Tiger and get his picture. I think that I would leave the grass in front.. maybe it's hard to tell from here about cloning it out. I do think that the sharpness, and clarity would be better if you went in and raised your highlights and shadows;) It's a pretty photo of this Tiger.. thank you for sharing, Zilyram:)
