Lovely shot. Texture rich and color compliments. Nice focus, balance and centering. Depth of field is amazing. Well framed. Good work.

Lovely unique composition! Lots of twists and paradoxical elements here, the wall, the shutters, the view. One of the most creative pieces I have seen of yours.
Yes, most of the southern European countries have garden atria rather than yards.

As always Annie, you produce such great shots. Apologies for the delay in responding.... I have been away working and FAR has not been on my agenda at all this last week :(

I love your composition. You have produced an image with great interest. The exposure is perfect and I particularly like the colour contrasts and, of course, those wonderful textures. Excellent work as always.

A really nice photo annie and one I can dig my teeth into. I love these types of shots and hope to have some under my belt when I take my trip soon.

The wall in the background, with its two toned effect really breaks this down into an abstract form. Very effective too.

The white around the actual window tells a story of change. The colors are very complimentary to everything around it. Nicely done.

Quite an unusual picture. I love the colors, the theme, and the old rustic look. In my opinion, I would have cropped some of the wall out.

Beautiful looking. Its like a blue door in a white window with red shutters. All in an old battered looking wall. It is a bit surreal mixed with a whimsical kind of humor.
It is exquisitely captured. The textures and colors are outstanding.

I absolutely love pictures like this! I love the garden inside and the window itself. You've got a great one here.

Agree with your notes, what a neat scene. Like the good focus/dof and exposure to show the colors and textures with a view of the inside garden. Just me, I think I could have cropped in a little more, however, still a very good shot.

"I have lived on the lip of insanity, wanting to know reasons. knocking on the door

It opens

I've been knocking from the inside!

Rumi

Shutters maybe symbolic and represent the inside out of life itself. Protect us form the dangers from what lives outside but also keeps us closed in from our more instinctual and creative well being.

What we resist on the outside we deny in the inside. We might see this as a metaphor for our inner longing. Here just beyond the gray lower foundation of complacence, just be your the squared in white frame that opens up to the dried blood red shutters only to find two sky blue shutters one of which is slightly unhinged at its base as if someone shoved hard to see the potential that lies in the green life of the garden in the court yard of our possibilities. Walls and shutters are constructs of the habituated mind , the shutters like the lens of our camera opens up to capture a moment in time that is eternal. Simplicity is the finest form of taking something complex and dismantling it into the simplest form.

Yes it may be architecture and it is also so much more. Warm regards
