Oh, I love this, Eileen. Been there as you know and remember all of these neat birds. What a wonderful natural shot with super clarity, color and detail. The stop action of their antics is super. Great job.

Fantastic situation, they came in group so they would get most for their nest before the source would move out Loll

Excellent capture, wonderful timing with three of them in different position, picking going landing , amazing -- super camera settings, fantastic reaction, outstanding life scene , thanks for sharing

Well this is a first! A very interesting and unique action shot of birds gathering nesting material! Hitchcock would have loved this. I would have given you a 6, but Dear Shadow your exposure time was far too slow for these birds. I shoot at 1/4000sec and you have blow out on your sisters hair.
I know all of this was due to the timing of the unexpected moment and some like motion blur, but there is also a soft focus.
My experience at butterfly world is the 300 does not work well. Your prime lens or macro lens should have been used.
The place is too small to shoot with your zoom.
I tell you this for learning. Your prime lens would have been a better choice.
You have a fine shot here, but I get to be more eagle eyed than most since you followed me for a year. I am not used to seeing blow out from you or motion blur.
You need to up your exposure time for wildlife shots, especially feeder birds and butterflies.
The smooth background is superb!
Nice fun wicked cool shot.
My review is on techs, so take it or leave it.
;)

Yes I know. A surprise shot. I want to try with the other lens now :) Thanks Sange!

Interesting, love the capture of the top bird in that position and the left one attempting to rob a bit of hair.

Nice sharpness with just a bit of acceptable motion blur. Like the elan, soft backgroud that makes the subjects stand out and would make it a 6 if it were not for the slightly burned out hair.

Probably a bit too blurry, but it was a fast taken shot. NO excuses, but I thought it was fun just the same. :) Thanks so much Charles

Wow! These guys are beautiful! They seem to be having a wonderful time giving your sister a new hairdo as well. Great stop action photo! Nice background.. strong visual impact, and honestly, I did not even realize it was someone's head that they were landing on at first. I love the photo of the one landing.. so expressive, very clear.. the arrangement in the frame shows action, and is placed nicely. Thank you for sharing!

Oh my! What an adorable shot! The stop action is perfect. Love the lighting with the catchlights in the eyes. The hair at the bottom is just so unexpected it made me laugh!

Great picture. I love you post production on this. Every thing is bright and sharp. But all your work is this way. I hope the birds did not poop on her head. Also what a way to get a bald spot. Thanks for sharing.

Perfect that makes me smile. That guy shows off. He looks like a dancer who wants to impress his bride with jumps and pirouettes. It is an excellent crisp capture in gorgeous color. Focus is spot on and it has just the right depth.
