A really nice perspective on this moorhen gives the impression of eye contact. Beautiful colors in the beak and the scaly legs.

Cute one, as if saying: "Oh, hello there." Love the angle capturing the facial expression and the eye. Great display of the red and yellow beak with a drop. Well composed, I like the grass blades and the pond at the background. Well framed and well captured.

Love it. Female moorhen. Love the details, beak, eye, feathers, legs, and the drop of water on her beak, with the river just there in the background, and the green grass at her feet.

A good eye level view on this little friend. The face looks to be a tad soft on the focus (on my screen anyway). As a rule, you need a f8, f9 or higher to try and catch more details. Still a fun and cute shot as you can see the curiosity look on the face.

It is a great angle and subject, but I think I would have cropped it in tighter. The 2/3rd's rule may have helped here. Good effort though.

Thanks - I am at the point where if I crop to tight I get told and if I don't crop tight enough I get told so now I crop how I see it - in this particular instance I didn't crop at all it came out of the camera this way. LOL Cheers Mary

Very good close up of this beautiful Dusky Moorhen. I like the angle you caught here showing a droplet of water dripping from his beak and the grasses making patterns against the water.

Lighting and focus very good. Very nice composition. Suzanne
