The roof makes a very fine background, though not where you'd expect to find a roadrunner. He must be looking for Wylie Coyote. Very fine colors and excellent details in the feathers. Good luck in the contest.

A very lovely capture of an unusual bird, never seen before - - he seems totally off the normal bird shape and he needs for sure such a long tail to keep balance
fantastic capture, well framed, perfect reaction, good focus, good exposure , nice frame - the grey roof is perfect soft color as background - perfect contrast and lighting

So this is the bird who is running along saying beep beep. LOL This is the first time I am seeing one, even in a photo, and you have pictured it really well. The roof is a perfect background, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
This is also a nice and sharp shot showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is very good. I suppose you could claim there are more colors than just grey though, because the bird is more beige and brown.
Anyway, the cropping is neatly done, and the bird has got a good placement within the frame. Really a well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks so much. Reading the thread to this contest, other colors are O.K. It just has be true gray, no conversions to black and white.
