This cat looks disturbed. I like this peice. I like how the one eye stands out. I think you did a good job on capturing this cats mood.

    Thanks!
He's a little devil - but we wouldn't be without him.

Nice picture. He looks like he has a bit of an attitude. I like how the whiskers really stand out. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

    Thank you!
I'm glad that you liked it - and you are 100% correct about the attitude! ;0)

What a cutie bug, with a great glare of glaring attitude in that one eye. He seems like quite the character. I like how you framed just his face, his coloring and marks blending out with no absolute lines. It's quite focused and centered. The only thing I see lacking is an uptone grade of richer hues or adjustment of lighting that sharpens and refines the overall end result. Thnx for sharing this handsome feline.

    Thanks for the review Lisa!
I'll look into editing the image, see if I can incorporate your suggestions.
It's nice to hear from you again!

Klaws, this is an impressive photograph. I was going to pass it by because I don't like cats, and don't like photographs of cats, but this is such a good image, I thought I should let you know. It is unusual, and that is refreshing, in that it is so close up and you have achieved great exposure and outstanding detail. I congratulate you. Please don't tell the "grumpy lttle beggar" what I wrote.
Peace,
Papa

It's nice to have a review from someone who is not a cat-fanatic...as an impartial viewer you are far more objective (though of course I value all reviews)
I won't tell him you said that, if you don't tell anyone here that I used a very cheap camera. he he
    Thanks again, Take Care.

Cute - this is a nice pose, even though he's looking at you as if he really doesn't want his picture taken. He reminds me a lot of one of my cats - he's not maine coon is he?? Well focused and balanced - well done.

    Thanks!
He's always got that look in his eyes - thinks he's far too superior to tolerate us lesser mortals!
He's not quite as snazzy as a Maine Coon - just a long-haired Tabby.

Oooh, I know that look. This shot sure shows a lot for having such tight cropping. I like the added interest of the little spot of light. I would like to see the tip of the chin included in the shot.

    Thank you Lauren!
I will see about widening the shot slightly to include a little more of his face.
I feel that with cats the expression is all in their eyes and the set of their jaw.

Very good closeup shot - it's all in focus and the colors look good. I like how you caught just a little hint of sunbeam coming down across his/her face. He looks good enough to pet.

I'm glad that you liked it. Cats in particular are slightly difficult to photograph because they are constantly looking for something better to do.
That shot was taken outside and I had an awful job waiting for him to keep still, as a pair of magpies had just landed a few feet from us.

I'm not sure why you chose this to post. Is it because the eyes are different shaped? I guess what I'm trying to say is I've seen hundreds on shots like these. I would rather see where the cat is or doing something.

I know that cat close-ups are common, but it is his personality that is the important feature in this print.
Thanks for the review - I'll try and do better next time ;0)
