Yikes! I didn't realise they had a taste for cameras!!! You were very brave then to be that close and take a shot. You managed to capture quite a curious expression on his face as though he was thinking about what your camera might taste like...lol He would have been better positioned more on the right side of image as he is looking to the left, or a bit more space in front of his face.

Thanks Kim, yes would have loved to have framed better but at that time he was checking out my daughter taking photo and decided to move a little too close for comfort. :) Mary

Very nice e capture Mary. Nice eye clarity and exposure. I am impressed at 1/30sec. I nirmaly shoot at 1/2500 or higher for wildlife.

A very good close up look on this common but strange looking critter. They can be very curious and do some damage alright. Good focus, frame and a sunny day exposure.

Thanks very much have some other pictures of emus in full in my book Birds but this one was just too close to get the whole bird in frame :)
