This caterpillar DOES look good with the color red;) The green leaves also work great for a backdrop for this photo. Excellent sharpness and clarity in the caterpillar plus the leaves and sign. I like how you framed it so that the other colors add to the photo besides the pretty plain colors of the insect:) Lovely work, Annie.. thank you for sharing it with us!

What a great photograph of a while caterpillar against a red background and green leaves to finish off the story. He is wonderfully marked and is very hairy. I wonder if he will turn into a butterfly. great colours, great story and one hairy caterpillar. it Is amazing what you see when you are not really looking for anything. thanks for sharing. sandy

You are very right a very special find and capture , this could be arranged too, but you find that outstanding situation in full nature integrated in a genuine way - the caterpillar looks like one of my fractals in shape and design, handsome repetitive pattern super color range
your imago is well taken from a nice position, close up to show the 1000 feet getting him to move - the way these leaves are placed is very picturesque and beautiful ,
your focus is spot one showing the textures of red tissue , insect and leaves in perfection , your frame is well chosen giving us a nice perspective from upside down ,

This is indeed a unique find and colorful capture. The Christmas colors of the red and green are bold and allow this caterpillar to really stand out. Love the diagonal placement and the texture on the red.
