The white cockatoos are considered such a nuisance by many because of their destructive habits, so it's nice to see this one doing the proper bird thing and aiming for a tree. As for birds in captivity, I just hate to see them. I once went with a friend to feed a neighbour's horse while they were away and they had a Crimson Rosella in a cage so small that its tail stuck out of the bars and its wings were eternally jammed shut. It haunts me to this day!

    Thanks again, we have about 200 white corellas fly over each evening but don't see too many of these cockatoos the galahs and corellas seem to have taken over. That is a shocking story I hope you reported them to the authorities people shouldn't have pet birds if they can't provide them with decent size cage or aviary.

    I'm afraid I didn't report these people because of my friend's proximity to them. But I often wonder if I couldn't have done more. Life is full of regrets!

Wonderful shot.
