Lol, never believe what you read on the net! This is Gull if beautiful with it's brown head, I have never seen one before, so unusual from ours. Super shot with excellent techs all around Fred!;)

A French gull whether it's black headed or brown headed. ha We don't see these guys along our coast but there are dozens and dozens of gull species. New one for me and it's very unique. Nice photo of it standing on the rock with the water lapping around it. Good one and a interesting view for me.

Black of brown head, I think you have pictured this Gull well. I really like the pale blue color of the water as well. It is the perfect background for the bird, and you have captured a nice shine in it.

The bird is well focused and is standing out sharp and well defined against the sea, and it is well defined details to be seen both in the bird and the rocks. The exposure is perfect and the colors nice and natural.

The cropping is in my opinion perfect and the bird has got a good placement within the frame. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a well taken photo and with a very good DOF.

The offset shot of the gull is almost like a statue. The wildlife artists would be impressed with the clarity and focus of the gull. The lighting is low and very effective. The water movement gives good motion to the scene. Construction is excellent and the outcrop of rock is a great platform to show off the gull.
