Nice clear image of the lone seagull on the rock. Well balanced photo that is very pleasing and takes the viewer on a trip to the bay.
Handsome gull, well captured.

Nice photograph of the black headed gull a nice sense of motion in the sea. The smallest of the gulls in Britain during the summer it has a chocolate brown hood not extending beyond the face, this disappears in winter being replaced in black.

The internet can be confusing itself. LOL. Nice stoic pose of the sea gull. Colors are good with nice clarity and contrast. Nice capture of the water movement. Framed well.

wow on the capture of such a rare species of gull. I;m sure it wasn't like there were flocks of these!! The angle is great and focus looks great. Nice colors and off centered. Can't wait to upgrade to my Canon Powershot ELPH 330 HS

A rose by any other name would still be a rat with wings. Actually a beautiful specimen in a proud pose. I like the colors and the small rock he is standing on surrounded by ocean.

Well Fred, this is a Black headed Gull. It only gets a dark brown head when it is Breeding time. So that is why it has a dark brown crown now.
A very fine capture of this unique bird.
Nice shot!

thanks a lot Sandra; I was confused by the pics on Google for the two species; no difference, bu since the other one is endemic to Central Asia.....
in Frnch, tbis one is called "mouette rieuse" which means "laughing Gull"; no idea why

We have one here that has a black head and we call it the laughing gull due to the sound it makes. I believe Mani posted a shot of one recently in his portfolio.
Nice shooting Fred! :)

As if commissioned to do a photoshoot, he is really serious in aligning his legs with a matching composed countenance to match with.
Slight overcast.
Aesthetic framing.
Subtle lighting.
Sharp focusing.
Thanks for sharing.

A good look at this one legged gull. A cute view, focus and frame to show the brown face and coat with a good pose.
