Well you found this cute sea gull so all was not lost! Nice photo of this gull with its grey wings and all white body. The grey background makes it stand out so well. Good one and thanks for sharing it. Too bad you didn't get to see the whales.

Well Mary I will start with a Yipppeeeee on exposure handling the white on the gull and the white paint on top of the pylon. Double fist pumps for that!!👊👊
Great clarity and DOF! Nice focus and eye clarity on the bird. Love the way it appears to be snow he is standing on! Lol

No whales, but a nice capture of that seagull! Great colours and detail, it looks like he is standing on snow? His red legs and beak break up the otherwise monotone colours of the background and his feathers. Nicely done!

Thanks Kim, no not snow they appear to have painted the top of the posts white with the addition of some help from the seagulls :)
