This what I look for from you! Exposure, pose, DOF, eye clarity and feather details.
Your 2 years of Shadowing me have payer off! Oh how great you can be when you take your time with your settings and do not over do your edits.
I see your DOF improving as well as white balance.
Remember to adjust exposure Bias/ EV when shooting too.
Well done!
Techs and post editing artistry
All working here!
Yippeeee!

A good pov as this unique looking bird is keeping a close eye on you. Like the edit, focus, frame and exposure to show the pink details.

I often wondered about people who dye their hair in multiple colors - now I get it ... it make us really cool.

This is certainly a really cool looking bird. The colors are awesome.

Eileen, I have watched you grow on FAR. Do you recognize that this is award winning photographic art?

Your compositional style, the way you have composed this fellow with a gentle blur on body to pin sharpness on those eyes, those all important eyes that connect the viewer with image is spot on. This is arresting imagery.

The most beautiful and soft hues of cyan/turquoise and pink. You have highlighted the beauty that surrounds us with cooking it...I am so happy that this is natural, it feels natural, it's stunning. I've looked hard for that frac - subtle was the way to handle it - beautifully rendered.

When you say you cleaned the background - how did you do that? Did you blur, or burn or Gaussean blur? Your background highlights this bird and supports it being neutral gray. (did you know that there are 245 shades of gray?)

Have I told you about "eye catchment" technique? Professional avian photographers use it all the time. Go into his eye with your dodge tool and lighten it by 10 or 20 percent - don't overdo otherwise everyone will know, just ever so slightly and that will pop out his eye even more.

I love this in it's softness, in fragile colours which speaks to us of the fragility of life around us. It speaks to the preciousness of life and how we need to protect it and love it - this is all possible through gifted photographers like you Eileen.

This definitely deserves a cyber 7. The second time I have given it.

Simply sensational, congratulations.

Olga, your words bring a big smile to my face. You are so kind to say these wonderful things. I cleaned the background by only getting rid of a bar that ran through and looked unsightly. So I cloned it out and just smoothed over the background to not show the edits. Yes, I know about the Eye dodge thing. Sange has told me about it more than once. I always seem to forget to use it. But I so appreciate your comments. You and others have helped me to grow by your comments and reviews. I grow here because I'm am given that room to grow here. Your cyber 7 is awesome and I am honored to receive it. Thanks so much again Olga. :)

Wow, I love the color of this bird. I have never seen one before. Great job capturing the color and clarity. Since I am thinking about getting a better camera, I have seen this one before. I was wondering if it is a good one. Thanks for sharing.

thanks so much kids, I truly love my Nikon D7000. It took a while to master it and still have so much to learn. There is one here, Sange, who tirelessly helps me with her technical expertise.
