This is tender hearted, you should let the government see this and let them use it on advertising about cruelty, it would hit home very quickly after looking at this, well done you for the imagery

This is a very sober and serious side to you, Mark, and I commend you for taking a stand and speaking out on such a serious issue. I know you don't place any value on the Bible, but it speaks of a time to come when God really tries to get the attention of Man, but each event is followed by, "But they did not repent of their murders." I'm quite certain that abortion is part of this! Good for you!

im honored by everything u said but one thing.."i know u dont place any value on the bible"..really marilyn? have i shown u or said anything like that...not only am i a christian but have completed the following course when i was in high school(military academy)"church history, theology 1 and 2 and 3 yrs of bible..so i am not only a believer but an educated one.that statement really hurt my feelings and no i wont hold a grudge..just disappointed u would even think that..(sad look)..however i do thank u for taking the time in the review and ur best intentions.

Oh, I do apologise most profusely, Mark, if I misunderstood your position. It was just that you related to me some time ago the story of how you could have "gone on and on" in arguing with someone who believed the Bible literally, so I assumed that that meant that you did not. Obviously, I was mistaken and that is the big problem with the written word. I am, of course, delighted to know the background that you have provided above and, also, delighted to find another fellow-believer. Do forgive me, please! (head hung so you won't see my red face).

to be a christian is forgiveness dear and as i said before i wasnt holding a grudge. i do understand what ur reference too and was an argument i had about creation..this woman makes the statement to me god created the heaven and earth in 7 days..i said whos timetable?..then she kept reference to the bible..so i explained to her what i was meaning that the timetable is a concept for the reader to understand..for all we know gods 7 days can be 7 billions years in our time..so when i said that to her i also asked her is she trying to bring man up to godom based on judging our concept on time..some folks try to treat the christian bible like it is a cook book but it really has deeper meaning and has been rewritten over many times in many languages...however sometimes ignorance is bliss..god bless ya dear..wink

Thanks for the explanation, Mark. At the time you told me about that discussion, I actually assumed that it was a dig at me personally. So, there we are! Misunderstandings can occur so easily. However, I must state that I AM one of those Christians who takes the Bible literally and belives in a 6-day creation so, obviously, what I said at the time still holds - oh, ho! I can see that we had better not lock horns!!! (wink back)

I'm right there with you on this--if they can make them, they ought to keep them (babies), no oops! here. good strong colors here and bold print. Interesting how you have the child partly in the frame. Nice speaking out, MK. You know you'll get bashed for this one:)

I have read a lot of reviews on this image from U getting 6 to 2 stars.
I will not comment on the message alone, because I think that it works, it makes that aspect the beauty of a child really stand out.
I think the way you composed it and framed it and colored it, has a strong impact pro life or not, it is well crafted image. It shows your compassion and your love of children

art send message sometime subtle and sometimes in your face, this is really well conceived piece. And the praise on it are well deserved.

There are probably just as strong a set of arguments to allow each women the freedom to choice and not be condemned because of her choices.

I for one love my kids and grand kids and could not imagine not having them. I think your artwork speaks for itself, as stated already it is a superb drawing, with an excellent focal point the captivating eye, with a strong message, designed to get people to rethink their choices, and that to me makes it an excellent drawing.

I agree that it isn't a religious or a political issue to not want the thousands of deaths caused by abortions, child abuse and leaving children and animals in hot cars to perish. Your image is wonderful and asks the right question. Who will speak for the children? Well balanced and nicely framed. Complimentary colors make the piece a pleasure to view. Would make a good poster.

I'll join you on your soap box though we are continents apart geographically. A beautifully drawn picture of the baby & a statement for life not death. Artistic choice blending & application of your colours to create this eye catching Poster.

Comment from I can do all things

I can tell you for sure you have offended some people. Especially people who don't want to hear the truth or want to justify that killing an unborn baby is not a big deal. However, You have the right to draw what inspires you. If they have the "right" to kill an unborn child than you have the right to speak against it. In fact, I think too many people say and do nothing out of fear that they may offend. We live in a world that has become so politically correct it's sickening. Usually the people who are offended are the ones who are jamming their agenda down every ones throat and don't like to take in what they dish out. This illustration is a powerful statement. Keep doing what you are doing. Someone needs to speak for the unborn and I think this a creative way to do.

Blessings,
Melanie
