yes very green, this side of the crown top is clear but the far side blends into the background to much for me, it also looks like it has been sharpened alot or is it that hairy? the light appears to be coming from the bottom of the stem giving it a yellowy look

It is really hairy, but I also sharpened it, but just a touch. thank you. Is there something I can do to make this a five?

I do not know enough as regards editing technique, so wouldn't like to say, different colour background perhaps??? but then the all green look would be lost for the competition. kind regards Petal, i'm no expert!

Beautiful image with great atmosphere with the soft effect and gentle blend of color. Would have given it 6 if you had cropped the right hand side off next to the stalk and cropped it down a little would have been perfect then. Good luck!

Impressive macro of this weird weed bloom.
Beautifully designed crown-like petals held by spiny sepals.
Nice narrow DOF.
Monochromatic rendition.
Subdued lighting.
Compact framing.
Diffused focusing.
Thanks.

This is so beautiful. You not only captured the detail of the bud and the beautiful greens, but you framed your subject with a natural yet quite geometric angle. Nice work. Good luck.

Comment from FBI GUY
Not sure what it is bit it is green. The detailed focus is great. I love the lighting and the detail right down to the little hairy things. The construction of the scene is very good and the overall green tints of scene is very nice. This would make a great poster.

Sorry can't help with the identity of this plant, perhaps in a more real size, not macro it might have been more recognizable.
It certainly is very green and quite hairy with fine detail.
