A wonderful shot of the bridge Mary, great f/g and super DOF with sharp focus, exposure and framing. It's hard to say who is right, often enough the government just does what ever they want to do regardless of anything or anyone.

There always seems to be some dispute over the construction of most anything now days. Same here in the US. Someone always objects to a building project. Like this photo looking up at the curve of the bridge as it goes overhead. A unique style with the single large column rising up from the large platform and supporting the span above. A nice shot angle and good sharp photo Mary. Hope the people have got over their dislike of the bridge as I'm sure it's much better for everyone than a ferry system.

Thanks so much again David. Certainly a lot quicker to get to the island than the ferry can remember crossing my legs a few times as a kid sitting waiting for ferry to get to other side so I could pop to public convenience LOL

A very fine perspective on this construction. I like the way you show the underpinnings and the marsh that it crosses and not just a ribbon of highway. Very nice composition and excellent colors.

Holy crackerjacks Mary, this would have won the Patterns that Repeat contest hands down!
It's sharp, and the lines are phenomenal, well saturated and the background adds to the strength.
Perfect.

Nice angle and I love that you included the plant life. The clarity and angles are awesome!
Thank you for including the background of the bridge! It is always interesting to hear these things. I do feel for the indigenous people!
Great job on the photo!

Thanks again Brenda, as a lot of FAR friends are from overseas I like to try and give info where possible, a lot have heard about Sydney or Melbourne but few know anything about Adelaide. :) Mary

Since I am an anthropologist you may expect I side with the indigenous people. What we have done to them with our "modern world" is unspeakable. About the picture: very nice job. Great perspective, composition and focus. Great picture.

Thanks JR appreciate your review - I was actually on the side of the indigenous but unfortunately some of their own (elders) declared that the sacred site was not true and had been made up to stop progress so we "invaders" ruled to build. All water under the bridge now (sorry bad pun) and in reality the person pushing for the bridge that owns the Marina on the island is a member of parliament so surprised it took 10 years for her to win :) Cheers Mary
