You DOF really makes the pic. The perfect focus on the flower with the soft background and the soft purples really set it off and give the pic a 3d effect. Nice work.

A beautiful shot of the green bud of the sunflower. I like this composition with the stem arching out of focus on the right. The colors are rich and natural and the background is very complimentary.

Well....pffffffffffffffffffft there went my chances of winning.

This jumps out at us thanks to your artistic handling of dof. The bokeh in it's softness helps us to focus on the main subject, indeed green. Compositional style is excellent giving room to the stem which holds this lad up and placed to the side you present him with panache!

Technical: sharp, well exposed in great ambient light which strengthens the shot, really rich tonal qualities shown, nicely saturated.

A winner!

A beautiful & unusual picture of a Dalahia it's petals half open & their colour yet to develop into pale cream or white standing in three dimensions from the soft blurred pale greens of the background. Beautiful composition & lighting with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.
