quite easy to understand why they are called "lions"; what a funny face and expression; excellent focus showing the détails of his beautiful fur;

It looks like you may have had to shoot this adorable lion monkey( What we nickname them)
Behind glass. If that is the case, you did a fine Job Mary. I know how these wee ones never stay still long enough to set up a shot. But you managed nice eye clarity and what a fab pose.
Nice work!

    Thanks Sange, you are totally right both in the speed of them and the glass - most of the animals were less than co-operative yesterday as it was a cold day for Adelaide (11C - 52F). Fun time with like minded photographers though :)

Good artist notes,
I bet this was not an easy capture--
it looks like he was in constant motion!! Great colors and expression.
Thank you for sharing this creature with us.

    Thanks Paula, must admit they are very quick and behind glass which makes it harder :)

Wow! I've never seen one of these before. Sure has a lions mane around its face. I assume this is a type of monkey but since I know nothing about them I could be wrong. Sure is an interesting little guy who appears to be watching you watch him. Nice shot and thanks for sharing this rare animal.

    Thanks DAvid, they are a type of monkey and very quick. These ones are behind glass but can go out into open caged area but was cold day so were staying inside :) Mary

I hope they can be repopulated as they are such cute little ones. A good view, focus and frame to show the every so cute details on the face and body. Well done.

    Thanks George love that zoos these days concentrate on trying to reproduce endangered spieces and with most our zoos in Adelaide are having a lot of success - with the exception of the Giant Pandas who just won't get pregnant!

Great capture. Nice colors and framing. The look on his face tells a brilliant story. The sharp detail keeps it interesting. Very nice. Cheers, JR.
