Wow! Captured at the perfect time. Liftoff! The focus is perfect and the framing is very good.

Love the combination of light and shade in the wings.

Well done!

He makes take off look so easy. Like how you captured the pose. Nice detail of his feathers. He contrast nicely against the barren b/g. Framed well just off center.

psst..Mating season is over shadow. It will turn green in Oct or Nov. This is a mature adult Great Egret. A fine pose as he is about to take off. Fine exposure handling the whites (YEAH) and sweet lighting showing the bone structure of the wing..see the dark shadow spots? that is his bone structure.
Nice work!

this is an older shot from last year, and not sure of what month. :) Thanks sange.
reply by Sange on 22-Jul-2014
whatever... it is still an adult judging by his wing bones.

Another fantastic capture, at the very perfect moment showing how powerful they to move their wings to be able to lift up - this body shape is beautiful a clear and sharp in details , amazing capture, the darkening of the background was perfect to let this bird shine - great focus, perfect sharpness, perfect exposure , a super wild life image, well composed, well adjusted, great job

I really love the wing positions in this take off capture, Eileen. Very striking and elegant. The sense of imminent movement is very evident. Beautiful clarity and detail. I also like the simple environment of the background. Not always easy to capture these in that kind of way. Excellent.
