Rich colors, especially the greens in the leaves. There is great use of light and the contrast with shading is ideal. Not so sure about the bowlike effect, but perhaps it does contribute to the effect ... unsure at this point.

Definitely in the hibiscus family, Annie. Rare to see such a pure white and so exquisite made even more so by your beautifully detailed and composed capture. The way you have toned down the background really enhances their elegance. The luminescent ribbons are perfectly subtle and are positioned to compliment the shape and flow of the blooms and branching. Great job and good luck.

I think you are right. The were so impressive, and I even broke all the rules and took this photo in bright sunlight. I did however also take a few sitting in the shade, and some with bees crawling around. Thanks a lot for the review and also for the good luck wishes.

They do remind me of a Hibiscus bloom but I think that it is "A Rose of Sharon. "Artistically arranged. Like the ribbon behind them. Nice detail
