This shot took an artist's eye to notice. You have incorporated lines, patterns and shapes well to present an eye catching landscape.

Especially nice is the reddish and striated cliff on the right jutting in at a diagonal slash bringing dynamism into the frame. Red and green are contrasting colours on the colour wheel and support each other.

The visual journey you have provided titillates us with the lushness of greens. The image is sharp as a tack and sings out to us.

I immediately stopped skipping through the viewing when I saw this and said wow, what an amazing picture.

The redness of the rock just makes it stand right out, the details are very clear indeed.

Yes I certainly like this one, thanks for sharing it.

Thanks so much, it is an amazing place and only 15 minutes drive from the city and 10 mins from our house, we are very lucky.

I wish there was more contrast between the foreground and the background. I get the feeling this might be a large expanse of land, but it lacks the dimension to show that.d

What lush greens!

Thanks very much, I had the incorrect lens as I was trying to get the koala in one of the nearby trees but couldn't resist taking the view. Will go back on a clearer day and try for a better image. :) Mary

What a beautiful and rugged looking landscape Mary. It's a unique and pretty scene that really says Australia. Sounds like the wet season has arrived in your area bringing much needed water. Really like those red rock formations with all the green plant life. Excellent photo.

Thanks David. Incredible wet winter this year our reservoirs are 92% capacity which is the highest for some time. This is only 10 mins drive from my home and 15 mins from the capital (Adelaide) of South Australia. Lucky we have it on our doorstep.

Nice capture. I love the sense of depth and distance. Yes I can almost hear and feel the rain. Looks like a magical place. Very nice indeed. Cheers, James.

This is a nice shot. I like the vegetation. The red rock in the cliff adds lots of interest to the shot. I like the haziness of it too

I like the rugged cliff there. is not much depth in this.

wonder if some contrast might help the depth.

Thanks Doris, that is the misty rain coming in blurring the trees - tried to adjust contrast but didn't help. :) Mary

Sounds like good news for the water supply, we are in a long drought here in Arizona. Send us any left over rain! A rugged looking area, good focus and frame as the vegetation soaks up the needed water.

Thanks George, we had several years of drought and they built a desalination plant to suplement the water at a humungous cost - have had more than average rain since it became operational last year :)
