This is a great shot of a heron, and I especially like the fantastic green colors in the shiny water and the perfect reflection. The bird is also standing out from this background in the most excellent way.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.

The framing is also working very well, and I especially like that we can see the whole reflection. The bird has got a good placement within the frame. Really an excellent shot and with a very good DOF.

Wow! How beautiful this is with that magnificent reflection in that greenish water. Gorgeous colors, excellent exposure and a pin sharp focus to show off all the detail of the eye, feathers and beak. This is a really nice photo Fred. the soft ripples on the water surface really add to the photo. Excellent!!

I received your PM and flew right in! This is your best capture of one of my favorite herons. Nice focus and sweet water reflection. The rippling water makes this special. Fine exposure, clarity a d details.

thanks a lot Sandra for your nice comments; I have severalof this heron; unfortunately he was in a dark place, had to use a high iso (1000) so the focus is not optimal;

This is so cool! The best part is the heron's reflection in the lake --- and the ripples that "disturb" his reflection.
