Sup this is extraordinary in black and white. I don't think it could be more beautiful even in color. It is just stunning. Details tend to really stand out when something is in black and white format that you might miss if you are looking at the colors. Like the markings on the wings of this butterfly are so intricate and defined. Beautiful. Your depth of field is excellent, the focus is great and so is the clarity overall. I think you did a great job with this one.

thanks a lot again for your great comments; no much difference because the bf is only slight yellow, nearly pure white

I really like this in
black and white. It just
makes the butterfly stand out like 3D.
Good positioning
Great lighting and details.
Again, another amazing insect with his own
one of a kind design.
Love it

A very nice choice for B&W conversion. The butterfly is quite contrasty which makes it stand out from this somewhat busy background. Excellent tonal range and very nice cropping.

Sorry, I ran out of Bonus Stars as soon as it was released last week!
This deserves more than 5 because of its excellent tonal variations against the narrow DOF.
Interesting initial impact!
Very sharp focusing.
Perfect lighting.
Aesthetic framing.
Thanks for sharing.

WOW! Nice conversion to black and white. The fine details of patterns and shapes in the wings are vivid. Must be interesting to see this float in the air like a kite. Well captured and a pleasure to view.

A very nice contest entry as this butterfly just seems to stand inside of your frame , the black and white creates a different perspective to the position , interesting capture, perfect frame - clear and sharp in details, perfect focus and exposure - this is a soft back and white which in very harmonious and well balanced in grey tones - beautiful image, thanks for sharing

Great capture! I love the design in the wings and the soft, gray b/g. I just finished drawing one because of the beauty. Not everything has to be in color. Wonderful job!
