A very well made digital painting created with the right kind of atmospherics! The light and dark interplay creates a mysterious landscape with the rider on a galloping horse. Well done! Good luck!

Wonderful digital artwork presented here with a story to tell. Great contest entry for 'Lights and Shadows'.
Really like the colours used here and the silhouetted horse and rider. Great viewing, thanks for sharing.

Wow! This is beautifully created! Wonderful show of the fast motion of the horse and rider, perfect choice of colors and tones to create this scene from the story, this is a great entry for the contest as the light and shadows are very well shown here, it's impressive to view! This must have taken some time to complete! Very well created, arranged and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

A very dramatic scene you have produced. The silhouetted rider against the old style homes in background definitely sets the scene well. Good luck in contest.

Cleo, this is very good illustration! I haven't red the story, but it seem interesting and mysterious! The composition is perfect! The contrast is fabulous! The proportions of the horse and rider are realistic! Nice job!!!

great, great picture. loved the film by tim burton and this one reminds me, of everything great about the story. such a wonderful display in the background to this ghostly rider. he is so well defined and in fine riding action.

Love this. Having lived in NJ most of my live I have visited the area in NY that the story is set in. You have captured the mood and essence of the story very well in your art. Fun piece. Good job!

I really like this artwork. You did an excellent job at painting this digitally. I like the dreamy atmosphere this has, and the description of it enhances it. The contrast between the dark and light colors bring out all the elements perfectly. The horseback rider's silhouette looks great against the brightly like background that fades away. The diverse hues mixed with whites, browns, hints of green and red all do a great job without overwhelming any color too much. Everything here is so well balanced. You have an eye for great design and putting all the pieces together to create something like this.

COOL,Cleo!
The town of Sleepy Hollow,New York is just a ways south of me by way of the New York state Thruway!
It's an interesting place and it's become a popular tourist destination in recent years ( especially around the 'Halloween' and Samhain holidays!
I've visited it's famous cemetery a few times and posted several photographs of the place here at FAR!
( I didn't encounter the 'Headless Horseman' ,supposedly the ghost of a high ranking British soldier killed by being decapitated in the later stages of our Revolutionary War,yet though! He probably knew that I was coming! : ) )
Your digital presentation here looks Great,my friend!

It is fantastic how you have used the light in this painting, and I also like a lot the textures shown in the background. That the horse and rider is done as a silhouette makes for an interesting and powerful contrast, and I really like the feel of speed.

The color pallet you have used is truly lovely, and Your brushwork excellent. It is also a very good use of high lights.

The format and framing is Perfect, and I think it is a very good Balance in the composition. Indeed a great looking and well done digital painting Cleo.
