Annie, this looks like an old master's work. Thank you for entering this contest and teaching us through it. I love the Topaz Buz Sim filter and this really has popped the image for you.

Very creative and very well composed work, with great lighting and good manipulation of mixed techniques. Love the depth and amazing texture, good color and nice frame. Well done. Luck.

Effect achieved. When I first looked at it, it thought it was a painting. The colors and contrast are amazing and the goat just adds to this idyllic scene. Nicely done, good luck in the contest.

I have heard of the lonely Goatherd BUT not of the lonely goat as portrayed here...your use of filters has produced a gorgeous effect really like an oil painting) Grrrreat mate

Wow, very nice. The goat is the star in this shot. Have have created a beautiful piece. I love how you have placed the goat in the lower corner and how he or she is framed by the tall grasses. Also, the sun shining though is not over powering the rest of the shot. Good choice of using BuzSim for the filter used. Outstanding job and god luck in the contest.

Looks marvelous, Annie. The filter really did a great job with a wonderful gentle pop of those golden hues, while giving the goat a very neat painterly effect and excellent stand out against the grass. I really like the angle of shot and the somewhat similar branching on those tow large background that really anchor the shot so nicely. Great job.

Has a nice softness about this, don,t think the painterly look is prominent to much in this, but it has added a sort of artistly effect in this, good luck in the contest

this surely belongs in an art museum right next to, say, a Manet. Rich, dense, tactile, with mood-enhancing colors. Composition is superb with the goat in lower left balanced by a y-shaped tree in upper right. thank you for showing us a remarkable and delicate touch.
