Wow, they must get pretty aggressive when someone has a fish they want! Didn't realize that their beaks were sharp as well as huge. Neat portrait of this one with another in the background.

I was not aware that the hook was so sharp, however, makes sense as they use it for catching fish. Good view, focus and maybe a bit tight on the frame, still tells your story.

eeeks that is good to know, thank you Mary. I read a story where a pet parrot had bitten off the entire nose of his keeper. These are wild animals.

Mary are these Pelicans this gray colour? I like the composition of the two of them and the background as well. It is a sharp image and well balanced.

I will tred carefully when I'm in their presence thanks to this upload.

Thanks Olga most of the Austin pelicans are white these were grey white but think it was more grime ☺
