This is really beautiful. The petals of this look like the softest of velvet, and the center things (can't think of what they're called) almost look like some sort of aliens. I like that you left just a little bit of background showing on both sides. It helps a lot in establishing perspective.

The colors are gorgeous and the clarity is wonderful but the cropping seems to miss the mark and become a dteraction rather than enhancement

Yes so red and the graceful leaves of the flower has an attractive soft velvety texture.The cadmium yellow colour in the centre and the stamens with the pollen look very beautiful.Good contest entry.All the best

Really pretty day lily. Very nice attention to the details. The yellow throat stands out in nice contrast. The stamen with the nice detail of the pollen as well as the pistils are good.. the petals have nice detail also.
