Yikes, what a great entry, thank you for entering this contest.

I've seen skies like this in Ushuaia which is at the other end of the globe at the bottom...whereas this one is up top!

Nice composition is what gives this strength. Giving most of the canvas up to the sky was the only way to go and the diagonal slashes across it add dynamism and drama. This image is hot, that's the only way I can describe it.

Looks like could be a winner to me.
