I love this piece! Little Phoebe is such an adorable fluffy little bird. You just want to touch his soft feathers.
I love the background. It doesn't interfere with the little guy and his gray and white feathers.
I like the fence he has landed on too. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first glance. I was thinking that the picture needed to be cropped a little closer but I can see now how that would not have been possible without it looking odd.
It does show you how tiny the bird is in comparison to the fence.Great lighting and composition!!

A very fine portrait of this little bird. I like the profile view and the nice catchlight in the eye. Ordinarily a cyclone fence is not one of my favorite perches, but in this shot it is very complimentary? Best of luck in the contest.
