Lovely shading and tonal differences shown in this picture. When I first saw it, I thought it was painted. You have a wonderful gift in producing different textures and lighting with just a pencil. Good luck in the contest - he certainly is a cutie.

I would, however, like to see the brightness toned down a little on the frontal side of his face and a little bit more distinctiveness in his lovely eyes.

Thank you Mollie. There is so much to learn about drawing. Each picture presents it's own challenges, and problems. We do our best to create art. Art, that is the whole purpose. Expression of our souls. The light is the light of my love for this face.

Love this, at a distance it looks like a B&W photo!! You have a good "depth of field" ( I'm a photographer..LOL ) I really like the eyes and the hair, you have got some nice texture there . Great work, well done
