This is a great image and deserves to win the contest. Macro photography is not for everyone (I personally like it a lot!) and I especially like the way the inner workings are revealed which would not normally be seen with the naked eye. All technical aspects are very good. Good Luck.

It looks to me like two birds wrapping their wings around each other.
I love the composition, the vignetting is especially effective at drawing the eyes into the center of the shot. The colors are wonderful, very vibrant. And the focus is spot-on.

What a nice image with such clear detail of the centre. The focus and colours are sharpe and precise. The remaining part of the flower making the dark pink background works very well as well does the off set framing.

This is a beautiful image! Very sharp, detailed, nicely off-center, bold colors. What I dislike is the vignette. I do like the edges being softened, but feel the vignette distracts rather than adds to this fantastic image! I've lost several competitions in the past simply due to vignetting! Sure hope this is a helpful hint and not a bummer for you!
