How exciting to be in the tomb of David. You must have felt the spiritual energy, and glory. Thank you for your wonderful review.

Superb outcome for any medium -- you are so talented. perfect male form, great details and character in hair and face, nicely rendered sash and great shading/lighting. I am out of plus stars, which this clearly deserves!

WOW, Linda this is Awesome! There are no weak points in this picture. The face is very, very good ( and I don't usually do 2 verys !! ). Great hair , good proportions, and I like the veins in the arm. Brilliant !!

Wow! King David was a hunk .! What a classic face with strong features befitting of a king and that gorgeous curly hair gives him such a rugged look.
He certainly looks strong with a body that is truly remarkable.
Amazing drawing Linda as always.

This is absolutely amazing!!
The first time I looked at it impacted me in so may ways!
I think your shading technique is excellent. You can even see the veins in King David's left arm.
The hair is done really well also with the gray highlights on the top of his head.
The draping of the shawl is amazing also to me.
It is so authentic looking!!
I am just in awe of the entire piece. I wouldn't say you should change a thing. That would be ludicrous on my part!
Thank you for sharing!

For me this perfectly fits that first description of David as ruddy and handsome in appearance. I do not think you could have depicted that any better. But, beyond that, it is in the face that we see the determination and courage that would lead him successfully not battle and then to rule. Definitely a classic hero portrait in very sense of the word. Great job, Linda.
