A interesting choice for this contest, Sesha.. it I can see is really 'from the hip' ;) It a photo of many people with many different colors. The details are pretty sharp and clear.. I think that it made a terrific initial impact all in a great frame;) Thank you for sharing not just the photo but sharing the storyline also;) I wish you the best in the contest, Sesha.. thank you for sharing it with us:)-Cindy

Loll, a very "incognito shot, for a hip shot this is a stunning result , excellent frame, super composition, you got the perfect scene as nobody is cut off in any way, great colorful ritual scene, excellent in color saturation, love the ambiance warm and peaceful, great contrast and lighting , perfect in focus and exposure , a fantastic hip shot, seems you have eyes everywhere loll, well done

This is surely a lot of people getting ready to take a dip.
Needless to say,there is a lot of color happening also.So,did you take a full body dip or did you just chicken out and gone wading.I did enjoy reading your notes also.Best of Luck to you in the contest~

I went only kneep deep clutching a guy ( i can't swim). The weather was chilly although it was a sunny day. But the water was ice cold. I had a split second dip and backed off fast!:)

You aren't the only one.I can't swim either!!Have you ever heard about the people who get together over here?It's a club called the Polar Bears and they jump into the icy water.I think I could do something crazy and stay warm :)

I think you did a super job catching the spirit of this bathing confluence. Considering the conditions on how you had to take the shot, it is an excellent composition with great DOF and a super mixture of the bathing population. Totally natural colors and clarity. Well done and good luck.
